Web Site Design & Maintenance

The Internet is becoming increasingly important in our lives and the way we do business.  Many small businesses feel they need a Web site to compete, but don't know where or how to start, aren't sure exactly what they need, or are afraid it will be too expensive.  That's where I can help.

Web Design prices start at just £100.  Discount rates are available for charitable groups.

I specialise in designing and building Web sites for small businesses and understand the issues involved.  I have worked on sites for a range of different businesses and can suggest what you need and, just as importantly, what you don't.  If you are a new or growing business, I can structure your site in such a way that you can start with the basics and add to it when your budget allows.  This approach will not work out any more expensive than building the whole site at once.  A basic site can cost as little as £100, plus the cost of domain registration and Web hosting, typically £15 - £25 annually.

I am happy to discuss your requirements with you, after which I can provide an accurate quotation for the cost.  There is no charge for this initial consultation. Unlike some other Web Design companies, I do not use standardised templates, but design each site specifically to suit the customer's requirements.

I aim to make all my sites easy to use for everyone, and try to ensure they are accessible to all, irrespective of any disability.  To this end, I design and build my Web sites with what are known as "Web Standards", which brings a number of benefits.  These include making the site accessible to more people and more types of Internet device.  Surprisingly, another benefit is that it simplifies production of the site, thus reducing costs, especially when it comes to future maintenance or updating of the site.  For more information on Web Standards, visit the Web Standards Group or the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
